The Late-Stage Bioassay group within the Therapeutic Proteins Department seeks a motivated and collaborative Scientist to join our team. The position is focused on potency bioassay characterization, potency bioassay support of Regeneron's preclinical and clinical drug candidates pipeline, as well as data and technical writing contributions towards technical and regulatory reports.

In This Role a Typical Day Might Include the Following But Not Limited To:
  • Optimize and characterize potency bioassays for transfer to GMP environment for further development and validation. This includes experimental design, assay optimizations, method performance characterization, protocol preparation and assay transmittal writing.
  • Close communication and coordination of activities and priorities with relevant groups.
  • Directly or indirectly leads, guides, and works with other Scientists and Research Associates in conducting potency bioassay research and testing support activities.
  • Participate in regular cross-functional meetings with data contributions, for information purpose and as a technical resourse.
  • Participate in troubleshooting technical and procedural issues.
  • Evaluate new methodologies and test procedures and determines when new procedures are needed. Contribute to the acquisition of new instrumentation.
  • May devise or develop new bioassay methods and techniques.
  • Prepare data slides and contribute with technical writing for post-IND and BLA reports.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for internal audiences.
  • Keep abreast of technological and scientific developments and attend scientific conferences in the field.

To be considered for this position applicants must have a PhD in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field. Strong bio-analytical hands-on experience is strongly preferred. Previous potency bioassay experience is a plus.
