SUMMARY: Growing cell therapy startup seeks a skilled process development associate director with expertise in downstream process development, mammalian cell culture, scale-up, and tech transfer of biologics to bridge process development with GMP. (Cell therapy-specific experience, though a plus, is not essential if the process development leader has a high interest in this cutting-edge field.) This cutting-edge organization wants a “hybrid” leader with the dual technical and soft skills to continue to promote its supportive, team-focused work environment. QUALIFICATIONS:  EDUCATION: * PhD, MS, or BS with several years of leadership experience in downstream process development for biopharmaceutical, mammalian-based biologics. TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP IN PROCESS DEVELOPMENT: Expertise applying the principals of engineering to move biologic process development from early / small-scale development to downstream / larger-scale development. TECH TRANSFER: Expertise in tech transfer and in suspension-based bioreactors for the culture of mammalian-cell growth for advancement of GMP manufacturing of biological products, ideally for cell therapy.  DOE & QBD: Proven experimental design and quality by design expertise. * FLEXIBILITY: Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.* COLLABORATION & COMMUNICATION: Advanced cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively and to provide clear reports and presentations to diverse audiences. * MOTIVATION to contribute existing skills, to build new skills as part of a supportive team-based work culture..
