Job Description:

The Senior Director Sales & Marketing Operations, Oncology BU will serve as the Business Operations Lead for the Oncology Business Unit. This role serves as a key point of contact and subject matter expert for Sales & Marketing Leadership and the Oncology Field Salesforce. Reporting to the SVP, Oncology BU, SDSMO will have significant interaction with Sales Leadership, Marketing Leadership and all key internal stakeholders impacting the Oncology BU. Leading & overseeing cross functional efforts to meet brand strategic objectives, this position will be accountable for Sales and Marketing planning and execution including but not limited to:
  • Supporting Oncology commercial organization to ensure successful execution of customer and field facing tactical activities.
  • Brand planning & operational process execution.
  • Sales & Marketing data and analytics, performance reports and budget management.
  • Development of leadership presentations in support of VP Sales and SVP Oncology BU
  • Planning process for Somatuline Depot, Onivyde (including size/structure), and future launch products/ indications.
  • Aligning field and home office management and communications.
  • Ensuring that the strategy and field execution is effective and compliant.


Responsibilities

Cross Functional Leadership

Collaborate with:
  • Oncology Head of Sales & RBDs to provide support with sales force execution and other business needs.
  • Marketing, Key Accounts & Sales teams on brand promotional development, execution and performance.
  • Director of CNE team to review execution and resource support


Cross functional team lead-stakeholder management:
  • With Business Operations team to manage and deploy marketing materials utilized the by field, accountable for the CRM system and other field deployed technologies.
  • Participate in cross functional meetings to provide Oncology specific system requirements.
  • Partner with HR to manage development and year end performance review cycle requirements.
  • Work with advanced analytics to ensure appropriate understanding and implementation of brand strategy.


Work collaboratively to transition and embed projects and responsibilities within the business once complete

Operational Process Leadership
  • Provide Nation, Region, Territory and business analytics.
  • Refine/ develop brand dashboards, reporting, analytics
  • Brand planning & operational process execution.
  • Sales & Marketing data and analytics, performance reports and budget management.
  • Planning process for Somatuline Depot, Onivyde (including size/structure), and future launch products/ indications.
  • Lead coordination and development of POA meetings- Semester Planning Process & Execution for Alignment and CRM.
  • Work with internal team to manage and execute incentive compensation plans for the sales force
  • Review size, structure and performance of field team- participate in targeting and size and structure meetings.
  • Deliver on Call Planning & Alignment Operations of Account Planning.
  • Manage field CRM process including changes and deletions.
  • Manage all Oncology-specific field communications.


Results Focus
  • Drive development of strategic resources to meet Business Unit goals.
  • Lead development projects for the field.
  • Assess training needs and collaborate with internal and external providers on the creation of new resources.
  • Support business and process related inquiries.
  • Responsible for helping to create, implement and monitor sales infrastructure to enhance and support sales force operations including sales reporting, analytics, forecasting and sales force automation
  • Uncover opportunities for growth through customer targeting and focus.
  • Sales Insights and Reporting - Develop and lead all Sales reporting and analysis.


Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent, MBA preferred
  • Strong leadership
  • Biopharma commercial leadership; minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience,
  • Successful Oncology launch experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to influence others
  • Ability to work with multiple internal cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated consistent track record of success
  • Strong scientific/medical aptitude and experience
  • Significant experience in, and knowledge of specialty injectable markets with complex science and reimbursement
  • Successful people management experience with direct reports and leading teams
  • Demonstrated success in project, vendor, and budget management
  • Pharmaceutical sales and/or sales management experience
  • Knowledge of the AMA, ACCME, PhRMA and FDA regulations associated with promotion and industry-supported scientific education activities.
  • Working within an environment of strict compliance to all appropriate regulatory guidelines to successfully design and execute tactics, programs and tools that achieve business objectives.
  • Willingness/ability to travel domestically. International travel may be required
