What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for the strategy, execution, analysis and communication of biophysical studies.

  • You will apply state of the art analytical technology for assessing higher order structure and aggregation properties applying biophysical techniques for the product characterization of biopharmaceuticals.

  • Help to drive the development and deployment of new analytical methods, and effectively communicate scientific results with internal and external partners across a global network.

Basic qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Masters degree and 4 years of life sciences industry experience

OR

Bachelors degree and 6 years of life sciences industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical or Life Sciences

  • Expertise in applying nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) for the characterization of the structure of macromolecules.

  • Strong experience with techniques to assess protein aggregation and high molecular weight species of macromolecules, including analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC), size exclusion chromatography, and light scattering (SEC-MALS).

  • Robust understanding and hands-on experience of biochemistry and protein sample handling. Experience from a Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology Company environments is considered an advantage.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for the timely documentation, presentation, and discussion of scientific results in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, team-based environment

  • Understanding of the regulatory landscapes for biopharmaceuticals.

  • Critically analyze and interrogate various biophysical data sets to drive and influence the process.

  • Ability to propose and drive new scientific initiatives.

  • Ability to mentor peers and junior staff.
