Reimbursement Business Advisor (RBA), Neurology, Physiatry (PM&R), and Urology – Location

The RBA works with providers and their practice personnel to enhance operational and reimbursement processes specific to the use of BOTOX® for all twelve approved indications.  These elements include patient identification, clinical documentation, securing treatment approvals, patient tracking, claim submission, reconciliation management, patient education, drug inventory, and drug acquisition channels.  The RBA helps customers understand barriers that may impede or delay appropriate patient access to treatment.

 

Successful candidates have at least three of the following types of experience:

  • Reimbursement
  • Specialty Pharmacy
  • Buy & Bill
  • Injectables
  • Sales, Sales Management or Consulting
  • Knowledge of Integrated Health Systems

Job Responsibilities include:

 

  • Effectively work with health care provider accounts and facilities to support patient access for BOTOX® therapeutics.  The RBA does this through 1) product-specific provider reimbursement support, 2) coordination reimbursement services, and 3) managing payer/coverage pull-through initiatives

 

  • Manage an assigned territory and provide Abbvie product reimbursement assistance and approved support tools and resources to health care providers in physician practices, hospitals and surgical facilities

 

  • Assist health care providers and support staff work through reimbursement barriers and understand the payer landscape

 

  • Work effectively with multiple key Abbvie stakeholders (sales, marketing, managed markets, compliance, legal, and regulatory) in a matrixed environment to achieve targeted MBOs and meet established customer needs

 


Qualifications

 

Education:  Bachelors’ degree, MBA desirable

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5–7 years of proven success in a health care related field
  • Previous Sales, District Management, hospital or practice experience- a plus
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Reimbursement-related experience:
    • Physician-administered injectables
    • CPT III and/or Miscellaneous J-code reimbursement
    • Specialty Pharmacy and Buy & Bill acquisition
    • Benefit Verifications, Prior Authorizations, Claim Assistance, and Appeals
  • Strong medical and pharmacy reimbursement experience with HUB services
  • Payer/insurance coverage experience with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Commercial and Medicaid plans
  • A Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to travel adequately to cover territory, as well as overnight travel and attendance at scheduled training and meetings
