The Imaging Sciences group is the home of many brand-new imaging core facilities, including the Preclinical in vivo Imaging Center, Preclinical Histology Core, Microscopy Shared Laboratories, and the Computational Image Analysis Core, and a hub for big data & machine learning imaging initiatives. We are seeking a technical minded, highly collaborative, and coordinated individual to help build and support an integrated imaging data & software management platform that will serve all areas of Research.

In this role, a typical day may include:
• Work with end users, imaging scientists, and IT to define study appropriate metadata parameters & configure image repositories and data pipelines following FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, retrievable) data principles.
• Leverage software tools to bring imaging data into and across the various systems of the imaging data management platform, from data acquisition & ingestion, through to analysis & report generation, and into larger scope efforts such as a common research data platform.
• Work across the Research organization to migrate legacy image data management systems & pipelines into the integrated data platform.
• Administer various imaging applications, including managing and configuring user licenses and roles, troubleshooting end-user issues with software platforms, and orienting new users to key software platforms.
• Coordinate imaging scientists, key end users, vendors, and IT to conduct evaluations, demos, and upgrades of imaging-related software packages, along with other day-to-day imaging data & software needs as they arise.
• Develop software pipelines to automate the movement of data through the platform, and dashboards to report on data management and software platform utilization.

• Are comfortable running regular meetings with imaging technology experts, IT, and key end users to coordinate multiple ongoing software-related efforts.
• Have a proven history of coordinating projects involving both Research & IT
• Are proactively helpful, and enjoy collaborating with a wide variety of individuals.

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's and 5+ or Master's of Science and 3+ years of experience in imaging data and software efforts. We need someone with proven history working with a variety of imaging data types appropriate in a biotechnology research environment, including small animal in vivo, virtual slides for histology, microscopy, or high content imaging data. You should have experience with imaging data management experience with common imaging applications such as Pathcore Flow, invicro iPACS, indica HALO Link, or Perkin Elmer Columbus. Hands-on experience with numerous scientific imaging data types including DICOM, SVS, CZI, OME-TIFF. Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, for integrative scripting and data transformations, and with web APIs such as RESTful or GraphQL, along with dashboarding or data visualization software like Spotfire or similar is a plus.
