Director, BTS

Purpose

Goal: Provide leadership to develop technology strategies that support business goals.  This role will have impact and influence over more than one technology and/or business domain.
Objectives: Build a collaborative partnership with technology and functional domain senior leadership.  Develop and guide delivery of comprehensive technology solutions that address prioritized business problems and innovation needs.  Objectives are defined in collaboration with senior domain leadership and results assess from a 2-3 year perspective.

Responsibilities:

 

Strategy & Influence

 Works across multiple business and technology teams to make significant contributions to development of a 2-3 year strategy. Develops, adapts and executes strategies to achieve key objectives.  Investigates new technologies, data approaches, and analytics strategies to support roadmap development.

Process Improve/ Optimization

Makes significant contributions to identifying overall process and/or technology  improvements

Decisions & Policies

Makes key decisions based on enterprise and domain strategies.  Significantly influences operating policies and procedures that affect business and/or technology domains. Interprets and recommends modification to enterprise policies, processes and procedures for relevant domains.

People Management Role

Responsible for managing a team(s) of senior managers and directors within multiple business and/or technology domains.

Impact

Make decisions that have an effect on financial, employee and/or public relations posture of Abbvie.

Resource Management

Responsible for making significant contributions to the development resource management strategy and organizational structure of multiple business and/or technology domain.

Liaison /
Relationship Building

Builds collaborative relationships and effectively interacts frequently with business and/or technology senior leadership and vice presidents. Interactions focus on top priority project and influencing strategic decisions. Interacts well with diverse groups across business and technology functions and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.

Minimum 12

BTS Leadership

Effectively connects employee and BTS functional goals to business and/or overall Abbvie goals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to drive outstanding employee performance and engagement through developing, coaching, motivating, energizing and inspiring team members.

Team Size

Experience managing teams of at least 15 people with a resource mix of managers, employees, matrixed teams, virtual teams, contractors and managed service providers.

Interaction Levels

Ability to communicate problems in terms that are understandable to all levels of the organization, including C-Suite.

Expertise

Thought leader within multiple technology and/or business domains including information management / analytics, integration and master data management

Budget

Experience managing a budget of at least $15 million.


Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters

Expertise

Knowledge of the Aesthetics industry, or related B2B2C experience
Experience in technology operation, strategy, planning and implementation and/or relevant commercial (customer and consumer) domain

Analytics, Master Data Management (MDM), and Integration expertise

Experience working with the following technologies:  Informatica, SnowFlake, Power BI, Dell Boomi, ThoughtSpot, Reltio, Palentir or related analytics technologies

Platform Ownership & Large program delivery experience

Experience with Advanced Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Market models, Data Science a Plus
