Roles and responsibilities

  • Supports ongoing new product commercial and strategic analysis alongside GCD marketers across all new product development to drive overall commercial, portfolio, franchise and product strategy
  • Partners with market research, Finance (Regional, R+D), downstream marketing and operations, to develop robust inputs that inform new product forecasts and to support the Long Range Plan
  • Builds, manages, and leads, new product forecasts as part of annual pipeline prioritization and new opportunity elevation (all stages)
  • Works hand in hand with GCD marketing to connect strategy to Financial value across all stages of the new product development cycle
  • Lead analysis of respective market and asset opportunities alongside GCD marketing; connecting key segment value drivers, growth opportunities, target product profiles and product positioning to the financial (and revenue) potential to maximize the asset
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, identify key issues, opportunities, and value drivers, and effectively translate strategic insights into appropriate forecasts to drive business decisions
  • Work closely with regional marketing and finance teams, understanding key challenges and opportunities in the trading environment of those countries to inform and validate assumptions.
  • Ability to understand market research and business intelligence is critical to discovering and quantifying financial impacts of marketing initiatives and competitive events
  • Ability to solve business problems through the proactive identification of issues and subsequent collection, analysis, and interpretation of related data
  • Ability to triangulate a wide variety of data sets and analytics to inform forecasting in a clear and concise way

  • Body Contouring and Plastic RM:  Global

 

The candidate:

  • Solid understanding of analytical quantitative methods in information management and forecasting techniques
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Demonstrated ability building detailed forecasting models and managing them
  • Proven track record integrating market data and manipulating large, complex multiple sources to support business decisions
  • High proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic planning cycles
  • Work collaboratively across multiple groups towards an outcome
  • Connect strategy to financial value
  • Highly flexible, adapting to change and a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work both autonomously and in a team-based environment
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sector
  • Drive, energy, and passion to advance AbbVie’s mission

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably with a degree focused in business, marketing, sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in analytics, forecasting, and/or financial planning and analysis

International or global experience in forecasting is desirable
