The Associate Director, Financial Reporting will lead the preparation of SEC reports including 10-K and 10-Q. You will own implementation of new accounting standards and governance of global finance policies. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the preparation of the Form 10-Ks, 10-Qs and other SEC filings
  • Monitor GAAP and SEC developments and lead the adoption of new accounting and disclosure rules. Work closely with external auditors.
  • Lead the governance of global finance policies
  • Support the quarterly earnings release process
  • Prepare various presentations for the Board of Directors and Audit Committee
  • Provide formal and informal GAAP and policies training to Finance employees globally
  • Lead other significant projects, which vary based on AbbVie’s business transactions and priorities



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience. Previous SEC reporting experience for a large global company and considerable Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Very strong technical accounting and research skills are required
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead multiple projects and balance competing priorities
  • Strong focus on process improvements
  • Excellent analytical, teamwork, and leadership skills
