DESCRIPTION

Mammoth is seeking a Scientist with expertise in therapeutic genome editing. The ideal candidate will have direct experience developing CRISPR systems; a strong background in genome editing and/or genome modulation in primary cells and disease models. Candidates must be comfortable collaborating with others and prioritizing time, agendas, and projects to accomplish goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Initiate, direct, and perform experiments to evaluate novel genome editing systems
    • Advance the application of novel CRISPR systems for human therapeutics
    • Manage direct reports and collaborate with others on the team
    • Record, document, analyze and communicate scientific data to senior staff and team members and participate in the writing of SOPs, report, and manuscripts for publications


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Ph.D. in relevant field with 3+ years relevant experience
    • Strong background in molecular biology, cell engineering, gene and cell therapy
    • Experience with genome editing for human therapeutics
    • Experience with viral and/or non-viral delivery methods (such as AAV and LNP)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Demonstrated expertise with CRISPR for human therapeutics
    • Experience with characterization and optimization of CRISPR systems
    • Experience working with primary cells, iPSC and complex cell culture systems
    • Experience with AAV vector optimization and production
    • Experience with NGS to characterize CRISPR editing efficiency and specificity
    • Strong communication, presentation and data analysis skill
