AN2 is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join the Project and Portfolio Management Team to manage and drive a drug development program through clinical trials and NDA submission. This position will report to the Director, Strategic Partnerships and Program Management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Project Manager for an Infectious Disease Drug Development Program on a rapid track through late-stage development

  • Develop high quality, integrated, cross-functional project plans to achieve the overall program objectives

  • Regularly analyze critical path activities and timelines, develop prioritized plans for addressing key scientific questions, facilitate issue identification and resolution, problem‑solving, contingency planning, budget oversight, and timely decision‑making while optimizing resources and productivity

  • Communicate frequently and knowledgeably on all aspects of project with Department and Company leadership

  • Provide standard project management support to ensure the team is operating effectively and efficiently, including meeting planning, facilitation, and documentation (e.g., agendas, meeting minutes, action items, timelines, dashboards, risk mitigation plans, etc.)

  • Manage the planning and execution of regulatory submissions in partnership with Regulatory Affairs and Medical Writing

  • Manage external relationships with contract research organizations (CROs), as well as academic and government partners, as needed

  • Contribute to the AN2 Project Management Team’s growth and development by proposing and implementing new concepts, techniques, approaches, and standards

  • Ensure teams and leaders are communicating and operating effectively

    Qualifications and Experience

  • BA/BS required / advanced degree (MS/PhD or PharmD) preferred in life sciences with 5+ years drug development experience managing clinical development and regulatory projects in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry

  • Experience managing drug development programs through late-stage clinical development

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills (PMP Certification preferred) and experience managing multiple projects across functional areas

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams with a keen appreciation of team dynamics, ensuring cohesion, influencing without authority, motivating teams, and navigating conflict with creative solutions

  • Acuity for strategic thinking and contingency planning with consideration to the project and portfolio

  • Analytical skills for integrating and interpreting interdisciplinary project information

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and diplomacy skills to bridge between divergent scientific opinions, negotiate timelines, resources and ensure effective collaboration
