What you'll do:
  • Support inventory management (consumables, chemicals, samples, lab supplies, equipment, raw materials, etc.) and accurate inventory control, processing customer request to order to deliver supplies and assist with metric reporting.
  • Performs inventory management of monitoring slow moving and dead inventory, conduct cycle counting, quarterly and physical inventories.
  • Provides daily customer service functions and communicates with the customer.
  • Safely transport product and materials from warehouse to designated drop zone/delivery areas in the labs, and between buildings using material handling equipment such as carts, pallet jacks, cargo van.
  • Record deliveries using Envoy application with iPads
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in the warehouse to ensure the floors, loading dock and stock areas is maintained in a neat, orderly, audit ready appearance. 
  • Conduct monthly inspection of warehouse area and assist Materials Management with resolving any suspect findings or observations.
  • Control quantity and quality of all products received from suppliers and shipped to customers.
  • Complete documentation for supporting Non-GXP and GXP shipping and receiving policies, and procedures.
  • Order shipping supplies and ensure supplies are available as needed.
  • Address and resolve delays with inbound and outbound shipments. 
  • Act as a liaison between R&D staff and Site Operations for any material issues or concerns.
  • Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Mailroom duties will include receipt of mail, sorting, delivery to employee mailboxes, postage meter operation, mailing out envelopes, letters, parcels, etc.
  • Performs other tasks assigned by the Materials Management Supervisor. 
  • Provide Additional support when needed: emergency response, glass wash and autoclave activities, and process gas deliveries.
  • Assist with investigations pertaining to deviations and assist with correct/preventive actions.

  • May be required to perform purchasing functions including but not limited to back-order reporting, managing pack slip consolidation, resolving open invoices or pricing issues

  •  Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED is required; college education is a plus. 
  • Five plus years of 
  • Keyboarding and Windows environment PC skills required (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Working in biotech and/or GxP environment is required
  • Experience with material handling equipment i.e. pallet jacks, carts, forklift, walkie stacker
  • Dangerous goods IATA/DOT/Infectious Materials shipping
  • Must be able and willing to safely and independently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able and willing to stand and walk for extended periods of time as necessary, including to and from other buildings on site. 
  • Must be able and willing to work extended hours (overtime) as needed to meet periodic surges in activity.
