Regeneron's Protein Biochemistry Group is seeking a hardworking R&D Specialist that will be mainly responsible for 1D and 2D gel/western blot method development. It will be also involved in host cell protein method development and testing.

A Typical Day In the Role of R&D Specialist Might Look Like:
  • Develop/ optimize small and large format 1D/2D gel and western blot methods..
  • Develop and optimize sample processing methods to facilitate 1D/2D gel and western blot analysis.
  • Implement the optimized 2D gel/western blot methods to assess pAb coverage and analyze process samples for impurity clearance.
  • Develop/Optimize ELISA method and perform routine sample testing.
  • Maintain documentation of experimental procedures and results in a laboratory notebook per established guidelines
  • Provide timely support to internal and external collaborators and present results and reports at various meetings

  • Ability to critically analyze and troubleshoot scientific problems.
  • Good scientific initiative and ability to multi-task, prioritize work and handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently but also within a collaborative team environment and have flexibility to work on changing priorities.

This role requires BS or MS in Biochemistry, Bioengineering or similar field with 3-5 years of experience with an emphasis on 2D gel/ blot analysis of proteins. Experience with protein characterization techniques such as 1D and 2D SDS-PAGE, Western blot, DIGE/DIBE, ELISA, SEC, CE-SDS is preferred.Experience with additional analytical techniques, such as IEF/cIEF, LC-MS, SEC-MALS, DLS, and DSC is a plus. as is experience in protein purification.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed.
