Regeneron's Formulation Development Group is seeking a Scientist as we work to support formulation and drug product development at all stages of product development and commercialization supporting different drug product modalities. In this role, you will develop critical molecular assays and carry out characterization and development studies on viral vector products and other therapeutics to support the drug substance and drug product development. In addition, you will conduct research in collaborations with the Scientists from Research and Preclinical Development to develop new technologies and platforms.

A Typical Day in the Role of Scientist Might Look Like:
• Lead the development of phase-appropriate molecular assays, such as Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR) and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), to support the drug substance and drug product development for viral vector products.
• Design and execute formulation development and stability studies to support the formulation development of various viral vectors for gene therapy and other new modalities.
• Develop timelines, setup sample testing plan, coordinate with cross-functional team members to support critical program activities and meet key deliverables.
• Author/review technical documents to support the process development, tech transfer, and manufacturing of clinical drug substances and drug products.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) at cross-functional teams.
• Lead or participate in research studies for product characterization and evaluation of state-of-the-art new technology platforms driving technology innovation.
• Establish influence through presentations and publications.
• Participate in the general lab and instrument maintenance.

This Role Might Be for You If:
• You are curious, detail-oriented, and organized.
• You enjoy the process of problem-solving.
• You thrive in a creative, flexible team environment.

This role requires a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Virology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline with 0-4 years of industry or academia working experience. Hands-on experience and trouble-shooting proficiency with molecular biology assays (ddPCR, qPCR, primer design, DNA/RNA extraction, DNA sequencing), NGS, and Flow Cytometry (FACS) are desired. Familiarity with molecular biology and sequence analysis software and statistical analysis tools. Ability to independently plan and perform experiments, interpret data, draw conclusions, and recommend next steps. Prior experience working with viral vectors, such as AAV, Lentivirus or other retrovirus vectors for gene therapy and cell therapy products is a plus.
