What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. The Translational Safety & Bioanalytical Sciences group at Amgen Inc. Thousand Oaks site is seeking to hire a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual at the Associate Scientist level. In this vital role you will work in the lab under supervision and collaborate closely with a group of committed scientists to perform immunoassays and cell-based assays designed to monitor the immunogenicity of Amgens exciting therapeutic protein pipeline.

• Execute and document experimental plans and laboratory procedures in a timely manner with great attention to detail.
• Perform plate-based immunoassays for detection of binding or neutralizing anti-drug antibodies.
• Perform mammalian cell line maintenance and cell-based assays for detection of neutralizing anti-drug antibodies.
• Execute data analysis and troubleshooting with guidance.
• Present data internally and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment in accordance with GxP guidelines

Basic Qualifications

Masters degree and at least 2 years of laboratory experience

Or

Bachelors degree and at least 4 years of laboratory experience in immunochemistry, cell biology, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good critical thinking skills and attention to detail are required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct experiments.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, immunoassays, and/or cell-based assays is preferred
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• The successful candidate must have the ability to adapt to new technologies and techniques.
• Comfortable in fast-paced company environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
• Knowledge of or proficiency in GxP lab requirements is preferred.
