Job Details

As Senior Account Services Manager, you will work on our Insights & Value (I&V) team to build and manage the operations and account team for the newly-formed I&V functional area within Medical Affairs (MA).

This role will contribute to the development/implementation of an overall I&V near- and long-term strategic plan. You will help to define goals and ensure departmental organization and productivity. Identify/recommend/develop new opportunities for I&V and Medical Affairs.
A typical day may include:
  • Facilitate extensive discovery across all MA teams, enabling the I&V team to arrive at a business plan complete with departmental budget/business model. Develop key parts of that living document.
  • Nurture relationships within MA, so that I&V can define and iteratively develop its functional engagement with each.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and individual therapeutic area/functional area teams to develop strategic and tactical plans. This will guide us in improving the awareness, understanding and perception of Medical Affairs and the work each team is doing.
  • Establish I&V operational processes, select tools/technologies for I&V project management and asset-storage, develop overhead budget with I&V leadership.
  • Play a lead role in designing and conducting research to gain an understanding of audience awareness/perception, as needed.
  • Lead assigned projects setting objectives, compiling creative briefs, establishing timelines, project/budget management, compliance, and vendor oversight as needed. Identify and engage appropriate internal and external resources for the execution of approved plans.
  • Analyze data (whether it be primary or syndicated) to forecast and invite periodic measurement of the impact of campaign efforts.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission process of new materials to MRC/RC, as developed by I&V.
This may be for you if:
  • You are skilled at connecting with healthcare professionals, consumers, caregivers, and advocacy groups and solving problems that redefine categories.
  • Can present sophisticated ideas/information, results, and outcomes to every level of executive management, in a compelling and unified way.
  • Are experienced in creating content that is both memorable and meaningful for audience engagement across multiple channels.
  • Have proven the ability to craft /or directly oversee the strategy of integrated campaigns that have met or surpassed their stated goals.

To be considered for this you must have a Bachelor's degree as well as 15+ years' experience as an Account Director or higher in the advertising industry or in a medical communications organization - preferably both. Work conducted with or for Medical affairs would be a plus. General management and client-relationship management experience, as well as a keen eye for detail and an appetite for innovation. You will have managed creative teams through all stages of discovery, creative development, pitch, production, and wrap-up. Your experience needs to include knowledge of market research techniques, a working knowledge of project management systems, extensive experience with budgeting and reporting, strong organizational / negotiation / leadership skills, outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You are someone who enjoys charting a new course and can demonstrate translating ideas into reality. Pharma/Healthcare experience is required.
