Manager, Process Sciences

The Manager in Process Sciences will support scientific investigations related to production processes for biological drugs. In this role you will manage a team who serve as subject matter experts (SME) for manufacturing upstream operations, data analysis and manufacturing support activities. The ideal candidate is a strong leader and communicator.

As a Manager a typical day might include the following:
• Lead a team of engineers and scientists to perform root cause analyses in upstream investigations
• Draft study protocols and author study reports for manufacturing support and scientific studies
• Conduct or supervise small-scale lab operations, perform statistical analysis of data, and present results in cross-functional meetings
• Perform scientific investigations with potential impact on GMP operations and provide technical support for manufacturing operations
• Use scale down models to investigate issues in large scale (including DOE experiments)
• Collaborate with internal and external partners (raw material suppliers, etc.) as part of investigations

To be considered for this opportunity you must possess a BS/BA in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences or a related field, with 7+ years of relevant scientific industry experience. To be considered for an Associate Manager 6+ years of relevant experience is required.
Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
Strong knowledge in aseptic technique, bioreactor cell culture and industrial upstream operations strongly preferred. Previous supervisory experience is required.
