Manager, Internal Communications

A typical day might include:
The Manager, Internal Communications, will be responsible for planning, supporting and executing internal communications programs that engage Regeneron's 9,300+ employees globally.

The successful candidate will be a part of a global Internal Communications team that thinks strategically and executes at a high level to support our fast-growing company and thoughtful culture, where colleagues are passionate about their work and our mission to bring important new medicines to patients in need.

The Internal Communications team is part of the Corporate Communications & Citizenship department focused on developing strategies and programs in four key areas: building a strong corporate reputation for Regeneron, sustaining culture and driving engagement through employee communications, and entrenching corporate citizenship as core to Regeneron's identity - all while building understanding and support for our company, pipeline and science.

This role might be a fit if:
  • Working closely with our Director, Internal Communications, support various communications initiatives that advance our employee communications and engagement priorities;
  • Help in planning and coordinating important strategic communications efforts, such as our manager communications effectiveness program, annual employee celebration of science and patients, annual senior leaders meeting, and more;
  • Partner with leaders in our Research & Preclinical Development and Corporate Functions on various communications initiatives and/or projects;
  • Support communications efforts to sustain our culture through storytelling that exemplifies the Regeneron Way, our values and behaviors;
  • Contribute to drafting and crafting compelling content through Regeneron Online (RON), our company intranet;
  • Liaise closely with communications colleagues, other groups/stakeholders internally to assess key messages and review as needed;
  • Stay on top of industry trends in employee communications and engagement to help advance our work; and
  • Develop and track metrics to assess the effectiveness of our communications programs.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience developing and implementing compelling, engaging employee communications initiatives.
  • Proven competency in communications planning based on a strong understanding of our company, our communications goals and our employees.
  • Excellent writer; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to take a varied and thoughtful approach for different audiences.
  • Knowledge and experience with the various formats, functionality and channels of internal communications: intranets, mobile communications, storytelling and content creation, videos and podcasts, enterprise social media.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, use of third-party email programs.
  • Passion for science; curiosity to learn.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills as well as meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to seek and value input. High level of professionalism and confidence to work effectively with employees from all levels of the organization, including senior leaders, functional managers, research scientists and the general employee population.
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced environment requiring daily flexibility and continuous multi-tasking. Ability to operate with a keen sense of urgency and a results-oriented mindset. Comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Previous experience working for a company in biopharma or related industry.
  • Previous PR/communications agency and corporate experience.
