Primary Function / Goals / Objectives:

Support Development Sciences operational leadership by providing financial guidance and execution of Plan/LRP/LBEs for external project spend. The candidate is responsible for the financial management of R&D project activities totaling ~$100MM+ annually. 

Major Responsibilities

This position will provide comprehensive financial support to Process Research and Development (PRD) and Drug Metabolism Pharmacokinetics Bioanalysis (DMPK-BA) groups external spend. Performing monthly accounting close duties, work closely with business operations and project leads in developing sound monthly LBE forecast articulating key changes, assist with preparing financials for various governance meeting which will include funding request with LMG/Heatmap, align actual and forecast in project system AMP, prepare LBE risk assessment analysis, and consolidating Global Development Sciences external actual and LBE monthly reporting for review with Finance Director. Candidate will work with various cross functional team from Corporate finance (Transfer Price, VAT, GTC, RTR), Global Operations sites, Commercial Supply Chain, and business partners to facilitate material shipment related matters between TPM, Operations and R&D Sites.

Accountability / Scope

  • Ability to work with less than perfect/constantly changing information, strong analytical skills are essential to understanding the complex and volatile nature of the asset development activities to translate them into financial forecast.
  • A strong work ethic combined with the ability to work cross-functionally is critical for success in this position. 
  • Willingness to learn how pharmaceutical pipeline development is conducted, which will better enable the individual to connect finance with operations and ensure high quality support.

Qualifications

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Accounting or Finance Experience
  • Experience with TM1 and SAP
