We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative R&D Specialist to join the Oncology Research team at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in Tarrytown, NY. Our lab is focused on the discovery and development of novel cancer drugs that target tumor cells for destruction. The successful candidate will participate in this mission by performing key assays to advance our pre-clinical therapeutic pipeline, including establishing tumor xenograft models, performing murine treatment studies and running multi-color flow cytometry. The successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative team and bring a passion for science, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, experience with in vivo mouse modeling and flow cytometry, and a strong background in tumor biology and/or immuno-oncology.

As an R&D Specialist, a typical day may include the following:

- Independently establish tumor cell xenograft models
- Independently perform in vivo anti-tumor therapeutic efficacy studies
- Perform antibody and multimer staining for multiparameter flow cytometry
- Perform a variety of in vitro tumor cell and immune-cell based assays, including: ELISAs, MSD, ELISPOT, proliferation-based assays and basic cell culture
- Collaborate with other internal teams to develop impactful and relevant assays to enhance our analysis of pre-clinical therapeutic candidates
- Data analysis and meticulous record keeping

To be considered for this position, you must have a BS +5 or MS +3 in biomedical sciences. Proven experience with designing and performing all aspects of tumor modeling in mice, including mouse handling, tumor/therapeutic implantation/injection (iv, ip, sc), tumor growth monitoring, and dissection of mouse lymphoid organs and tumors. Extensive knowledge and practical experience with advanced flow cytometry including complex panel design for cell surface and intracellular staining, data acquisition and analysis. Experience in cell culture, and the execution of a variety of in vitro/ex vivo immune cell-based assays.
