Legal Counsel and Compliance Manager

This position provides legal counsel and support relating to healthcare law compliance and other legal matters affecting the Company's operations. Responsibilities include: providing legal advice across business functions pertaining to a variety of contract, healthcare and compliance matters, including assisting with and advising on the Company's healthcare law compliance program and supporting compliance-related aspects of the Company's commercial and medical affairs functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain registrations related to manufacturing and selling product.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with the Company's obligations to report under states' pricing transparency and aggregate spend reporting laws.
  • Provides a variety of legal services supporting the Company's commercial activities, including assistance with product sales contracting. .
  • Assists with operation of the Company's healthcare law compliance program.
  • Drafts and maintains healthcare compliance policies, procedures, and training.
  • Assists with compliance auditing and monitoring, including data analysis.
  • Conducts legal research related to federal and state laws pertaining to life science companies.
Education, Experience, Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Juris doctorate (JD Degree)
  • Active member of a U.S. State bar Relevant substantive legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department (4 to 6 years+)
  • Strong background in the commercialization of pharmaceutical products in the US, and laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting commercialization of pharmaceutical products
  • Relevant expertise and experience with relevant laws and regulations, particularly those pertaining to healthcare compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Experience working with Commercial and Medical Affairs Departments in the life sciences industry
