The VP/SPD is responsible for driving the creation of an integrated program strategy through engaging with and including information from all relevant key partners bringing Regeneron development program(s) forward from the lead selection through BLA application. Also, the VP/SPD owns the program oversight and execution. This role has a broad impact, and interacts with almost all areas within the company, including research, non-clinical, clinical, safety, development, program management, regulatory, commercial, and industrial operations (manufacturing).

As VP/SPD, a typical day might include the following:
• Identifying and aligning all of the key partners across REGN (and partners, as needed) and ensuring they are engaged and included as part of program strategies.
• Providing sound strategy guidance for program therapeutic area development strategies inclusive of research, clinical, regulatory, supply (includes tox, clinical and commercial materials) and commercial needs.
• Ensuring that scientific rigor and innovation continues to be integrated into and drives our program development strategies.
• Driving broader cross functional perspective in developing program strategies including scientific rationale, operational feasibility, budget, timeline, and an understanding of the competitive and commercial landscape.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have an MD, PhD, or PharmD with 15+ years of drug development experience. A consistent track record in leading a program forward through development landmarks and/or approvals required. Experience or knowledge of biologics strongly preferred. You should be able to build a project team and drive a successful program forward. Must possess strong analytical abilities and be a critical problem solver who can present to and hold their own with senior management. Must be able to deeply and rigorously interpret clinical and preclinical data. Ability to craft development strategies with the team and convey and implement those strategies is also required. You must also be able to anticipate and identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
