The Metabolic and Muscle Disease Group at Regeneron is committed to discovering novel targets and innovative medicines to treat diabetes, obesity, dyslipidemia, NASH and muscle diseases. We are seeking someone with strong command of biochemistry, molecular biology and in vivo pharmacology to support target discovery and validation in the area of metabolic disorders. The candidate would be responsible for providing scientific and technical expertise, as well as coordinating activities with other labs and groups across the organization.
As a Scientist, Muscle & Metabolic Diseases a typical day might include the following:
• Identifying and implementing novel areas, technologies and approaches for validating target modalities to support of therapeutics' development.
• Conducting lab work to support projects with in vitro and in vivo studies.
• Providing timely updates on scientific progress and communicate efficiently within the Metabolic and Muscle Disease Group and across different functions.This role might be for you if:

• You are able to excel in a fast-track environment while leading multiple projectsTo be considered for this opportunity, you must have a MD or PhD with a minimum of three years of post-doctoral training. Broad experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, in vitro assay development and in vivo pharmacology is essential. Expertise in the area of metabolic disorders with the focus on liver biology is helpful. Experience with animal disease models for targets validation and characterization of therapeutics in metabolic diseases area. Additional experience in the area of immunometabolism or immunology is desired. Ability to independently design and perform sophisticated in vivo studies, interpret data and present the results. Documented strong scientific record, excellent communication and presentation skills.
