Fate Therapeutics is seeking an experienced and highly motivated talent acquisition professional to lead recruitment activities in support of Fate's business and recruitment objectives. This individual will partner with leaders across the organization to develop and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies and will be responsible for full life cycle recruitment. This is a full-time position reporting to the Executive Director, HR & Operations and is located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA. Primary

Responsibilities:
• Identify and implement effective recruitment strategies based on the needs of the organization.
• Partner with Fate leaders to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions, recruitment
materials and presentations, and launch and lead searches.
• Serve as primary liaison for all outside recruitment and staffing agencies.
• Manage job openings on Fate's Corporate website and external job boards and social media.
• Build talent pipeline, select and screen qualified candidates.
• Oversee candidate interviews and offer negotiations.
• Manage candidate debrief / feedback meetings and partner with candidates through the
recruitment process.
• Lead regular recruitment meetings to present progress to hiring managers and HR team.
• Lead interview training sessions with interview panels and departments to ensure successful
interviews and selection of high performing candidates.
• Participate in career fairs and conferences.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company
policies.
• Manage recruitment team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of managing all phases of the recruitment life cycle,
preferably in the biotech / pharma industry.
• Experience engaging candidates for open positions for all levels of the organization.
• Ability to influence across the organization and build strong relationships with hiring managers and
interview teams.
• Experience managing and developing direct reports.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize objectives, and manage resources to achieve
established deadlines.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems.
• Experience with LinkedIn, other social media tools, and career boards.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
• 100% on-site work at corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA.
• Evening and weekend work as necessary.
• Travel to conferences and career fairs.
