We are looking for a Lead Developer who will be the responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance standards of new and existing custom-built applications for the Research & Preclinical Development teams. You will collaborate with other IT teams, vendor partners, internal collaborators, and architects to deliver solutions. We advocate for a DevOps approach to the software development lifecycle. Our stack currently includes Python, Ruby on Rails, React, Docker, Postgres, AWS services and some legacy technologies and tools.

The role you will play includes:
  • Collaborate with and influence others to build the next generation of applications to support the ever-evolving needs of our scientists.
  • Help to define roadmaps and technology solutions that will support the business strategies and goals of R&D teams.
  • Act as an expert technical resource for enterprise architecture, solution architecture, software development, and testing.
  • Define and drive adoption of standard methodologies in code health, testing, and maintainability across Regeneron.
  • Mentor on approach and execution of solutions, coach on technologies, and establish a team-wide comprehension of solution capabilities and direction.

To be considered for the Lead Developer role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field as well as at least 5 years' experience in systems implementations and 2+ years experience with AWS technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EKS, and RDS. Significant software development and infrastructure architecture experience in designing and architecting enterprise web applications.
