Job Summary:
Responsible for manufacture of biologics products performing activities within production facilities to support manufacture of upstream/ downstream operations according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Has performed aseptic technique, is able to identify unacceptable practices and make spot corrections to performance
- Operates , maintains and troubleshoots process equipment
- Performs solution and material preparation
- Participates on and assists with technical transfer and validation activities
- Uses most support systems (e.g. LIMS) with some demonstrated proficiency
- Identifies and understands acceptable and unacceptable practices and is able to make on the spot corrections to performance
- Perform job specific tasks in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), applicable Regulations, International Standards, and WuXi Biologics Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and Batch Records (BRs)
- Suggests and participates in continuous improvement ideas and suggests solutions to technical problems
- Cross trains in other areas and may be utilized to perform above job functions across the entire site
- Performs well under direct supervision and starts to work independently on basic tasks and processes
- May be required to work Holidays and weekends, overtime, and outside normal business hours
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- HS Diploma required, AS/BS/BA in Science related field preferred;
- 2-5+ years relevant technical experience; Possesses basic technical knowledge and background in the industry
- Understands aseptic technique concepts
- Understands the basic operations and functions of equipment
- Understands the concept of and has performed or experience with manufacturing processes and methods
- Understands of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Possess basic computer skills and able to efficiently use basic Microsoft applications
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in environment with variable noise levels
- Must be able to work in Lab setting with Biohazards /various Chemicals
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE
- Ability to stand /Sit/walk for long periods of time
- Clarity of Vision
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors
- Must be able to perform activities with repetitive motions
- Ability to climb Ladders / Stairs / Scaffolding
- Ability to work in variable temperatures high to freezing
