We are currently recruiting for a Scientist I who will join the Tumor Immunology team’s research group and contribute to the advancement of PACT’s cutting edge engineered cell product. This will be a unique opportunity to see your ideas rapidly translate into the clinic and impact patient lives. The ideal candidate will be experienced in immunology and T cell biology.

Responsibilities: 

The candidate will be responsible for the design and execution of critical path studies to identify TCR requirements for optimal functional avidity and T cell homing and longevity. This includes identifying and implementing cell-based and biochemical assays to understand the molecular interactions between TCR and peptide-MHC complex and evaluating the cellular activities upon TCR-antigen engagement. The candidate should enjoy operating in an exceptionally dynamic and cooperative environment and will collaborate with a larger cross-disciplinary team of immunologists, biologists, engineers, and bio-informaticians. 

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field or a Master’s degree with 8+ years of industry experience, with a career focus in immunology.
  • Deep understanding of T-cell receptor biology and biochemistry.
  • Highly proficient in assays characterizing antigen-specific T cell activation.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art techniques for evaluating the peptide-MHC-TCR affinity, avidity and binding kinetics.
  • Experience with high throughput assay platforms or liquid handling robotics will be a plus.
  • Familiarity in data analysis using programming languages (Python and/ or R) will be a plus.
  • Highly goal-driven and have demonstrated the ability to focus on time-sensitive objectives.
  • Ability to operate in a collaborative environment and communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in the form of written reports.
