ISRM Communications, Training and Awareness – Employee Engagement Specialist

The Business Technology Solutions (BTS) Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) Employee Engagement Specialist will have a demonstrated passion for communicating and engaging employees and stakeholders to support organization collaboration. The Employee Engagement Specialist works with teams on activities of moderate complexity and consults with stakeholders and senior technology leadership to develop solutions to business or technical problems. This role also assists in the liaison of activities between the BTS and business areas as needed to drive deliverables. This role will be responsible for driving employee engagement to improve the experience of ISRM team across the entirety of the employee journey by evolving engagement, learning,  awareness, communications and culture. 

 

As an Employee Engagement Specialist, this role will support “One ISRM” efforts to help orient and foster information sharing. You will support projects to understand requirements, align objectives and goals of communication, training and awareness, including the development of communication rollout plans. This role will also work cross-functionally to develop and implement creative internal communication plans to support ISRM project and programs.

The Employee Engagement Specialist will also collaborate with key internal groups (BTS Communications, ISRM functional teams) to identify training & awareness needs as business goals shift or new information becomes available.

Additionally, you will contribute to new process development and team playbooks for employee engagement activities. Support the maintenance of developed artifacts, materials, and content within the ISRM Communications repository/library of content.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be able to work across technical and communications channels to build awareness of employee engagement and training
  • Have strong interest in learning new things
  • Be flexible, dynamic, and engaging, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Be a team player with the ability to forge new partnerships that bridge employees and the broader ISRM and AbbVie organizations
  • Be able to prioritize and work with timelines and assignment deadlines
  • Be responsive to requests from employees, team members and management, and be able to work with employees of all varying levels
  • Deliver results to achieve goals, and solve problems, and be able to effectively escalate as needed
  • Possess strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Be comfortable speaking with groups and teams to present information
  • Have excellent time and task management skills and completes project tasks within time and budget constraints
  • Be able to work independently to conceive and develop general approaches to solutions which require application of basic technical principles
  • Able to see the big picture as well as the small details

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner for day to day activities, under deadlines and date driven activities
