Position: Software Developer (Ref: 6402)
Location: 8600 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20894
Duties: Utilize experience with Java, scripting languages, Apache HTTP and Tomcat, secure Web coding practices, HTTPS, systems administrator for Linux servers, PHP expertise and knowledge of hardware and software in an R&D environment and text mining and machine learning algorithms to develop and maintain software tools in support of research at the lister Hill National Center for biomedical communications (LHNCBC) /National Library of Medicine (NLM). Provide programming support to enhance a natural language processing pipeline based on machine learning techniques to extract drug-drug interaction information from drug labels and normalize the information to standard terminologies.
Requirements
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field plus 3 years of post-baccalaureate experience in programming reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill set described above.
