Summary

VersaPeutics, Inc is a growing startup company based in San Diego, California. We are developing novel therapeutics for a variety of disease indications with a focus on central nervous system diseases. We are seeking an experienced individual with expertise in neuroscience to join our team and play a central role in leading the company’s antibody drug discovery and development projects. Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s antibody drug development program through IND.
• Serve as the Principal Investigator for NIH SBIR funded projects on drug development for spinal cord injury and other neurology indications.
• Provide in-depth knowledge of neuroscience and neurology.
• Initiate and manage studies at contract research and manufacturing organizations.
• Manage relationships with universities, consultants, and external collaborators.
• Manage monoclonal antibody discovery campaigns at contract research organizations.
• Write SBIR grant applications, regulatory documents, patents, and other company documents.
• Assist with fundraising efforts and developing business relationships.

Qualifications

• PhD in neuroscience, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or related field.
• Experienced with IND-enabling antibody drug development stages including CMC and preclinical toxicology.
• Broad knowledge of neuroscience as evidenced by a strong publication record.
• Knowledge of the monoclonal antibody drug discovery and development process.
• Highly collaborative, self-driven individual with a strong scientific curiosity and initiative to learn and contribute in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
