The successful candidate will be an established engineering leader with experience in facility management, building automation and maintenance.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Manages all facility infrastructure to support daily operations while ensuring facility & utility systems are 100% operational.
Manages utility plant operations, maintenance and repairs, continuous improvement projects and designated utility capital projects.
Responsible for the lab and manufacturing equipment life cycle.
Work with SMEs to define requirements, provision utilities, install / calibrate / and qualify, maintain, and decommission instruments, and lab / process equipment.
Interface with all operations teams to ensure all facility management needs are fulfilled.
Manages site services directly or via 3rd party providers including janitorial, maintenance, automation, security, pest control, and other site support services as needed.
Provides expertise in establishing and refining preventive maintenance programs, resource scheduling, spare parts inventory, efficiency improvement programs, etc.
Manages validation, calibration, metrology and automation engineers and creates performance management (KPIs), reporting, SOPs, etc.
Manages all building management systems and other plant automation and data acquisition systems.
Supports and manages deviations, investigations and CAPAs related to facilities and building automation systems.
Follow and manage operational EHS related matters.
 
Requirements:
 
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field).
Minimum 10 years of facilities and engineering, building operations and facilities management experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, building automation, and safety systems.
Advanced knowledge of OSHA regulations
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of technical professionals.
Comfortable in a highly adaptive and collaborative small company environment, working with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
Exceptional leadership, customer service, relationship building and communication skills
Advanced technical certification (PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) highly desired.
