Solution Architecture Lead

The primary objective of the role is to develop, and drive the execution and use of GDS architectural processes, templates and standards and certify the use of these capabilities throughout the delivery lifecycle
In this role, a typical day might include the following:

• Engages with enterprise IT as the GDS point of contact to understand current and emerging cross-Regeneron architectural standards, tools, and processes
• Disseminates and creates awareness of cross-Regeneron architectural standards, tools and processes within GDS
• Drives the development and ongoing maintenance of GDS organization level system architecture artifacts, architectural processes, templates and standards
• Disseminates and creates awareness of GDS organization level system architecture artifacts, architectural processes, templates and standards
• Participates in resourcing sessions to understand emerging needs for solution architects; manages availability and staffing of FTE and contract solution architects. Responsible for sourcing contract solution architects as needed
• Accountable for understanding the system architecture needs for delivering solutions, managing priorities and challenges
• We will need you to partner with Implementation Leads and Business Solution Partners to help plan and execute solution delivery activities including crafting solution architectures and representing GDS during solution architecture review sessions and discussions
• Demonstrate mastery across a wide range of data and software engineering activities, including data warehousing, data integration, data streaming, digital devices, data visualization and analysis, mobile apps, and application development
• We expect that you will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical business and utilize this knowledge in the rapid advancement of agile, impactful, and efficient solutions
• Provide mentorship and assistance to development teams regarding technologies, application architecture, and integration patterns
• Ensure compliance with applicable Regeneron software development lifecycle policies and procedures

This role might be for you if:

Experience developing architectural process, templates and standards for implementations

Ability to identify the cross-functional system architecture requirements for all partners in solution delivery

System experience leading architecture of complex cross-functional systems

Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies and CFR Part 11 compliance

Good problem solving, technical writing and verbal communication skills

Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency

Attention to detail and accuracy of work

Experience working with clinical trial, healthcare or research data in an R&D environment is helpful

Familiarity with Architecture Frameworks/Processes (e.g. TOGAF)
