Job Details

Precision BioSciences seeks to hire a Research Associate I to assist members of the Core Technology group with tasks involved in the generation and evaluation of ARCUS nucleases. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about gene editing in a hands-on role. The Research Associate I will perform basic cell culture and molecular biology procedures related to high throughput evaluation of nuclease activity, toxicity, and specificity. This person will also help maintain the Core Tech cell culture facilities.

  • Maintain mammalian cell lines used in the Core Technology cell culture laboratory
  • Execute and troubleshoot the nuclease reporter assay
  • Assist in testing improvements related to the reporter assay or other assays related to mammalian cell culture
  • Use and maintain cell culture equipment including flow & image cytometers
  • Assist in general operation of the Core Technology cell culture facility, participating in general housekeeping and/or ordering supplies

Education/Experience
  • BS in life science with 0-1 years of lab experience, or equivalent education and experience
  • Strong organization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
  • Previous cell culture experience preferred
