Regeneron is seeking a highly motivated and experienced molecular biologist with a master's or bachelor's degree to join our emergent virus rapid response group. We are looking for an individual who is highly skilled in molecular biology techniques and haves experience carrying out experiments and performing data analysis with minimal supervision. Specific skills required include DNA cloning, transfection, qRT-PCR, tissue culture, and protein techniques such as westerns and ELISAs. Experience working with viruses would be desirable but is not required. Incumbent should be able to perform routine tasks involved in virus research, including basic safety procedures in a BSL2 environment.

As an R&D Specialist in Infectious Diseases, a typical day may include the following:
• Incumbent will function as part of the emerging virus rapid response team. Most critical skills are DNA cloning, cell culture, transfections, virus infection assays
• Maintain and culture viruses as necessary
• Develop in vitro models of virus infection
• Evaluate therapeutics in vitro using basic molecular biology/immunological assays

This role may be for you if:

To be considered for this role, you must have a BS/MS + 5-8 years of relevant experience. We are seeking a candidate with experience in molecular biology techniques, ELISA, qPCR, DNA cloning, transfection, cell culture, virus propagation and cell-based assays. Understanding and previous experience in virology and immunology would be distinct advantages.
