Associate Director, Operational Improvement

 

The Associate Director of Operational Improvement independently leads cross-site and cross-functional operational improvement projects to help improving performance across Allergan Aesthetics, to help the business to become more efficient and effective for ourselves and our customers.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to the following:

  • Lead performance improvement projects across Allergan Aesthetics, using a variety of operational excellence principles
  • Analyze existing operations, systems, processes and metrics to identify pain points and prioritize high value improvement opportunities
  • Support identification and prioritization of future operational improvement projects across Allergan Aesthetics
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from across brand and functional teams, including business technology, marketing, sales and operations to help deliver improvements that balance competing priorities
  • Work across multiple concurrent operational improvement projects 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 5 years’ leading operational improvement programs, with a portion of that experience developed in the pharmaceuticals or medical device industry
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing people or teams
  • Experience with data analytics tools and insights

 

Additional Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of operational improvement techniques (LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, etc)
  • Proven business leader with track record delivering change with high impact results
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Capable of securing executive level leadership buy-in, sponsorship and investment through strong articulation of business benefits aligned to broader organizational strategy
  • High computer literacy including MS Office and Data Visualization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of operational excellence fundamentals and lean manufacturing concepts
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and/or remote colleagues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Basic knowledge or risk management and mitigation concepts
  • Proficiency in business finance and accounting principles
