Scientist, Cancer Immunologist

Orum Therapeutics is a privately funded biotech company located in Daejeon, Korea, and Cambridge, US. Our experienced research team is developing a novel class of antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) therapeutics using targeted protein degrader (TPD) payloads to modulate intracellular target proteins. We are advancing our first set of oncology candidates toward preclinical development.

Role Description

Orum Therapeutics is seeking an energetic and self-motivated scientist with experience in T-cell biology and / or immuno-oncology. This PhD level scientist will join a global team working towards discovery of unique anti-cancer compounds for the treatment of targeted patient populations. The ideal candidate will be a motivated immunologist with a strong desire to succeed at the highest level. This individual will report to the Head of Biology and will lead the development of our tumor immunology platform in a team environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead in vitro and in vivo immunology efforts to interrogate mechanism of action and target ID, support lead progression, and drive candidate molecule transition into clinical development

• Independently design, execute and interpret in vitro and / or in vivo pharmacology experiments to explore therapeutic potential of drug targets

• Interpret, present and report research findings at internal meetings and at external scientific conferences

   

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in immunology 

• 5+ years of post-doctoral and / or industry experience with hands-on expertise in immuno-oncology or T-cell biology

• Experience with in vitro and in vivo immunology methodologies

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a record of energizing teams

• Experience working with & managing contract research organizations preferred

• Flexibility to accommodate to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines

• Ability to work in a team-based environment

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
