QC Shipping Coordinator/Specialist

Our Quality Control team is looking to bring onboard a Shipping Coordinator/Specialist. This individual will coordinate shipment of product and material for the Quality Control (QC) team. The Shipping Coordinator/Specialist will be using current systems and procedures and help with continuous improvement of those systems and procedures.

What you'll do
  • Prepare shipment paperwork and digital database records in LIMs.
  • Support QC sample shipment in accordance with QC sample management schedule and procedures. 
  • Manage and coordinating the transport between Adverum CMOs and facilities.
  • Ensure all shipments are well documented and in accordance with GDP.
  • Develop and communicating shipment schedules.
  • Work with vendors, facilities, and carrier services to coordinate logistics and timelines.
  • Assist in resolving shipment issues and complaints including following up on investigation with courier.
  • Maintain shipment log to ensure all shipments are captured with proper receipts/acknowledgement for reconciliation.
  • Assist with receipt of materials and confirm records of materials received.
  • Upload and organize all shipment documents to SharePoint sites including any corresponding temperature data.
  • Communicate services levels with facilities and Adverum vendors.
  • Participate in deviation investigations as required
  • Additional shipment duties, as required.

About you
  • Associates degree in a scientific discipline preferred with 1-3 years of related work experience.
  • B.S. degree preferred.
  • Experience with cGMP is preferred.
  • Experience developing and reporting quality metrics.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate with other functions to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • A self-starting, highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, to provide clear direction to cross functional teams.
  • Experience with handling biological samples, chemicals, and use of PPE.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with Project a plus.
  • Possess positive attitude, with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal instruction. 
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, able to stand and move independently through and between facilities.
  • Provide assistance to the other functions within QC Operations as needed.
