JOB SUMMARY

 The role of Procurement/Sourcing Specialist will assist the Arranta Global sites in effecting more efficient sourcing processes to save costs and maximize profitability. They will be responsible to identify and negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices by using strategic sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of their commodity industry.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Create sourcing strategies to reduce risk and meet targets for the purchasing department to include cost savings and on-time delivery.
  • Develop and ensure correct maintenance of stock levels.
  • Identify and execute cost reduction projects including planning, coordinating with stakeholders, estimating completion, and project updates.
  • Perform advanced quantitative and business processes analyses to identify financial impacts of decisions, cost improvement, and performance for assigned categories.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define SLAs and KPIs for suppliers and measure the appropriate criteria, such as: delivery of business results, cost reduction, quality, and timeliness of delivery.
  • Conduct research, perform benchmarking, and gather market analysis for assigned categories.
  • Manage contracts to ensure the performance of the supplier to contract obligations and established preferred suppliers for assigned categories.
  • Negotiate to maximize value and cost savings benefits while lowering risk.
  • Create and implement management programs to develop, continuously improve, manage the performance of, and monitor KPIs of the supply base.
  • Develop and lead efforts to reduce number of transactions for assigned categories.
  • Provides early alerts to relevant stakeholders of delays and potential disruptions.
  • Research alternative products as needed and coordinates approval of alternates with appropriate user departments and/or Quality Assurance.
  • Participates in aggressive pursuit of cost reduction without compromising quality or delivery.
  • Analyzes and strategizes supplier-base reductions based on consolidation of commodities or planned volume fluctuations. 
  • Supports supply and supplier onboarding.
  • Identifies non-repetitive items at lowest price consistent with desired quality and delivery date.
  • Regularly interfaces with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Supports continuous improvement and problem solving as it relates to purchasing process and vendor relations.
  • Assists in inventory warehouse projects including disposition of obsolete supplies, visual replenishment systems, etc. as needed.

Experience and Skills

  •  Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years supply chain experience
  • Has experience reading and understanding purchasing documents, quotations, and basic contracts.
  • Experience and competence in using integrated ERP software. 
  • A strong knowledge of purchasing policies, procedures and practices including compliance with an ability to apply experience, as necessary. 
  • Well versed in contract terminology and use of standard purchasing terms and conditions. 
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, including ability to diagnose root causes and provide effective and sustainable solutions.
  • Must be proactive, exhibit continuous improvement mindset, and an ability to affect change and build consensus.
  • Able to work comfortably with all levels of the organization (including top levels) in a global environment.
  • Expert MS Office skills, emphasis on Excel and ability to complete complex spend or data analysis upon which business decisions will be based.
  • Presentation skills.
