Regeneron is looking for a highly motivated and experienced R&D Specialist to join our Therapeutic Antibodies Immunoscreening team. You will contribute to the identification of potential therapeutic antibodies, in-vitro characterization and selection process of the lead molecules in early discovery.

You will develop and optimize protein-based and cell-based immunoassays suitable for high throughput antibody screenings with a focus on obesity, metabolism & muscle disease targets and aging targets. You should have a strong background in biological sciences preferably biochemistry or immunology with hands-on experience in immunoassay development.

In this role, a typical day might include performing the following:
  • Design and optimize immunoassays to assess antibody therapeutics functional properties.
  • Design and execute cell-binding assays to categorize the diversity of antibodies in the collection.
  • Validate, optimize, and execute assays for high throughput automated screening.
  • Maintain and expand cells to perform medium to high throughput mammalian cell binding flow cytometry assays and maintain mammalian and murine cell cultures.
  • Optimize assays for in-vitro quantitative characterization of the lead antibodies.
  • Compile and analyze data by Excel and graphic software.
  • Keep accurate records of experimental procedures and results.
  • Maintain lab equipment on and off the integrated automation platforms, including flow cytometers, plate readers, etc.

To be considered for the role, you must have a minimum of three years' experience with a Master's degree or five years' experience with a Bachelor's degree. Extensive knowledge of immunology and protein biology and hands-on bench research/development experience. Strong background in in-vitro protein characterization, such as ligand/receptor binding characterization and quantitative potency determination, protein structure-function relationship in the field of biochemistry or immunology. Skilled in aseptic technique and human and mouse cell culturing. Experience with cell expansion using multi-layer tissue culture flasks is preferable. Experience with immunoassay and cell-based assay development (ELISA, electro-chemiluminescent-based technology). Experience with flow cytometry cell binding assays and flow cytometry panel design.
