How you will Achieve More with Intellia:

As the Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for managing an outsourced consumable management team, provide support and collaborate with a large and diverse Research and Development group spread over three sites on implementation of policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a well-managed, well-maintained laboratory facility. Other various projects include:
  • Ensuring a high level of prioritization is focused on managing all lab consumables
  • Managing or assisting with the management of all lab related contracts or agreements, including calibration, preventative maintenance, repairs, and software and hardware upgrade
  • Partnering with the Senior Lab Technician and assigned lab end users/stake holders on equipment and instrument installations and service repairs.
  • Maintaining equipment management system, including updating databases when equipment is installed, modified, replaced or decommissioned
  • Partnering with the Procurement Department on pricing and terms related to instrument and consumable pricing and purchasing as well as contract negations
  • Partnering with the Shipping and Receiving Logistics Department when required regarding all incoming and outgoing packages including material transfers between sites
  • Planning, developing, and implementing policies, procedures and standards for lab operations to ensure that the efficiency, effectiveness, quality control, and safety of the laboratory comply with federal, state and company regulations and standards
  • Ordering and maintaining supplies, labware and instruments essential to the operation of the lab while managing inventory and storage facility

This role will report directly to the Associate Director, Operations. This individual will join a team of 8 full-time employees who bring a range of experience and knowledge to support all the needs of the Intellia Labs. We are a group of passionate individuals who enjoy working with one another and who have made a tremendous impact during COVID in keeping our operations moving forward. The R&D groups rely on us to have the correct materials on hand and equipment working at all times, so they can focus on cutting-edge research. The team is currently working on-site everyday given the nature of the work we perform. Therefore, applicants should be local to Cambridge MA or open to relocating. We look forward to meeting you!
