Job Details
A day in the life of this person may look like:
- Lead pre-clinical discovery efforts for ophthalmic projects, and support the translational progression of new therapies into the clinic
- Lead cross-functional project teams to effectively move programs forward and nimbly incorporate new results and thinking
- Integrate collaboratively across Technology Centers and other TFAs to execute on project plans.
- Remain informed about newly developing technology in the academic and industrial arenas relevant to our mission.
- Establish and lead collaborations with external parties.
- Conceive, develop and present novel research concepts and therapeutic ideas.
- Actively contribute to the scientific discourse in the field and be recognized as a key knowledge leader
- Efficiently communicate in written and verbal form for research reports, manuscripts, as well as internal and external presentations
REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a PhD and at least 10 years post-degree, at least 5 years as Lead Investigator/Manager. We require this person has a record of intellectual and technical accomplishment in experimental biomedical science, especially pertaining to vision and ophthalmology. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must.
