Research Associate II, Molecular Biology
Tanabe Research Laboratories USA located in San Diego, California is a cutting edge biotechnology company dedicated to the discovery and advancement of innovative therapies to treat oncology and other serious diseases. TRL is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to work in our Molecular Biology group on the pre-clinical development of novel therapeutic biologics.
Working as an integral member of the Molecular Biology team in the generation of new biologics, this individual would be responsible for cloning of recombinant DNA, various platforms of recombinant protein expression, mammalian cell culture, stable cell line generation, and the purification of nucleic acid and proteins. In addition, this individual might work on mammalian in vitro cell-based assays during the identification and the characterization of recombinant biologics. The individual would assist with activities such as immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, quantitative immunoassays, and other standard biologic laboratory techniques.
This position requires a B.S. in the biological sciences with a minimum of 2 year of laboratory experience. Applicants must have experience in mammalian cell culture and standard molecular and/or immunobiological assays. Excellent communication and written skills, the ability to work in a fast paced goal- and team-oriented setting, well developed organizational skills, the flexibility to participate in several projects simultaneously, and the ability to thrive under pressure are also required.
