The Sr. Sourcing Specialist will support the planning and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives utilizing the sourcing process for DPM-CMO, CMO's area! This includes: Clinical & Commercial Pack & Label, Clinical & Commercial Filling, Gene & Cell Therapy area as well as Drug Substance CMO's. You will develop sourcing specifications, requirements and related scope of work that is consistent with Regeneron's business requirements. This position will conduct data gathering, support spend analytics, assist in delivering measurable cost savings, and supervise savings against contract. In addition, you will support evaluations through the development of RFQs, RFis and RFPs and may participate in negotiations. You will actively participate in supplier selection and provide data and recommendations to ensure informed selection decisions. We need someone to support the supplier on-boarding process while supporting the sourcing/category manager on the creation and negotiation of contracts. Support all vendor management activities which includes, however, is not limited to preparing QBR data and measuring supplier performance.

A typical day may include:
  • Lead implementation of business and process improvements within the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement department. In addition, work on sourcing-related problems, while developing alternative solutions.
  • Handles segments in functional areas, such as data gathering, detailed analysis, and report generation.
  • Uses discretion in applying practices and procedures to resolve issues, demonstrates a broad and thorough understanding and application of technical and/or specialized concepts in sourcing.
  • Uses expertise within a sourcing field to complete tasks optimally, efficiently and gives to department initiatives improving process, policy, technology.
  • Conducts the processes to ensure timely distribution of information to internal and external partners.
  • Solicits and analyzes RFP's, participates in contract negotiations and ensures contracts are realized (SLA's, Savings, etc.) ensuring compliance with pricing agreements and internal policies and procedures.
  • Capable to support sourcing projects within a cross-functional collaborative team environment
  • Cable to handle projects with supervision while demonstrating integrity, flexibility, and attention to detail
This position may be for you if:

  • Capable to explain complicated information and optimally lay out pros/cons of alternatives.
  • Possess team leadership, negotiating skills, cost modeling knowledge, excellent verbal/written skills.

In order to be considered for this role you must possess a bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant progressive experience within procurement. Or, you possess a Masters and 4 plus years of relevant experience within procurement. Work within experience within biopharma is helpful.
