I. JOB SUMMARY
The HR Generalist is member of the HRBP team, supporting operational efforts across North America and internationally as required. The incumbent is an organized, detail-oriented individual and plays a key tactical role throughout the employee lifecycle - driving value in the moments that matter.
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Employee Relations:
• In partnership with the HRBP team, investigate and prepare responses to front line employee inquiries, soliciting information from the centers of excellence as required.
• Facilitate employee changes in HRIS system related to promotion recommendations, department reorganizations, non-disability related LOAs etc.
• Prepare and coordinate employee documentation including letters, notification, communications, and job descriptions, and HRIS data administration.
• Coordinate the voluntary employee departure process, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and applicable employment legislation.
• Conduct exit interviews and provide summary reports to appropriate parties.
• Process onboarding and new hires in HRIS, support the I-9 process, and prepare/create employee files.
• Administer the HRBP component of the AACE award and Just in time awards, including tracking, delivery, and internal reporting.
• May support HRBPs with employee investigations and other employee relations activities. Including entry into EthicsPoint as necessary.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the HRBP team and employees.

HR Processes:
• Maintaining HR records and communications, including:
o Shared drives & MyE updates
o Support of retention & destruction
o Off-site storage
o Employee files (electronic and paper as applicable)
• Responsible for ad hoc reporting and monthly metrics
• Coordinate HRBP team meetings, agendas, and follow up activities
• Ensure compliance with departmental, corporate and SOX procedures; provides HR audit support as required
• May assist with SAP transactions including purchase orders and service receipts
• May respond and/or participate in departmental audit requests including gathering of information
• Prepare presentations as needed
• Conduct HR related research as needed in support of project and benchmarking needs

Special Projects:
• Partner with HRBP team to support HR initiatives as required including annual goal setting, performance management (IPMP) process, merit/market increase review processes, talent review prep and succession planning
• Provide support to HRBP team for the annual and ongoing budget and headcount process.
• Coordinate leadership development and training initiatives, in partnership with the Talent Management Team
• Coordinate the annual employee handbook review
Culture:
• Model the core values through day-to-day actions
• Actively participate in the actions outlines in the Culture Management Plan and group/departmental plan

III. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
• Bachelors degree required
• Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience in a Generalist capacity or other Human Resources operational role.
• Proficient in MS Office with a high level of comfort using computer systems such as HRIS and SharePoint. Advanced knowledge of Excel preferred.
• Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment
• Uses discretion, good judgment, and initiative to independently complete day to day responsibilities and tasks
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and plan work activities, meet timelines and deliver appropriate and accurate results
• Identifies and resolves issues proactively and quickly, utilizing effective analysis techniques
• Ability to obtain and maintain working knowledge of, and compliance with, applicable regulations that govern our business including, but not limited to: SOX, GXP, employment standards, human rights legislation, health & safety regulations, Emergent's Code of Conduct and employment policies.
Must be able to operate in a fast paced, highly structured team-based environment
