We are looking for an automation engineer to join the Protein Expression Sciences (PES) team. Using automation, our team discovers best-in-class antibodies from millions of single B cells isolated from our proprietary VelocImmune mice and from convalescent humans. Additionally, PES generates stable CHO cell lines for GMP manufacturing of our drug candidates, as well as production of reagent proteins to support research throughout Regeneron. This person will be responsible for innovating, programming and maintaining our fleet of automation equipment used to support all these efforts and more.

In this role, a typical day may include:
• Coordinating and supervising automated system used within Protein Expression Sciences
• Coordinating maintenance and PM on all automated equipment
• Collaborate with Scientists to gather requirements for automation needs, project scoping, validation and training of automated methods
• Programming, validating and updating methods on automated systems
• Investigating new automated equipment
• Troubleshooting and Resolving issues with automated systems
• Working with researchers to implement new automation to address bottlenecks in process
• Data recording in ELN (electronic lab notebook) and LIMS

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree and 0-3 years of proven experience. You should have a background in biological sciences or engineering with lab automation experience. Hands-on experience with operating and programming liquid handling robotics platforms is required, as well as experience with liquid handlers (preference Hamilton robotics and/or HighRes Biosolutions). Knowledge of dynamic scheduling software (Cellario), and programming language like C# or Python is preferred.
