Overview

We are currently searching for a Clinical Research Operations Manager to provide support to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This opportunity is a part-time position with MSC, and it is on-site in Rockville, MD.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource via scheduled phone and email communications to Division Management, Clinical and Operations staff, both US and internationally based, on all aspects of program planning, clinical research operations management, extramural scientific study operations, and Division policy.
  • Monitor by email and directed participation the progress of assigned projects and tasks against internal and external factors to provide comprehensive recommendations on all aspects of operations to Division management.
  • Review existing and proposed guidelines, policies and procedures of assigned clinical operations, scientific study operations, and projects to assess and recommend revisions or replacement.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings via conference call to maintain awareness of the progress of assigned programs, projects and tasks, as well as provide insight and recommendations to other participants and Division management as needed to help ensure alignment with organizational priorities and procedures.
  • Provide advice and counsel as requested to Division Management, Clinical and Operations staff.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Sciences or any other-related discipline
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working directly in project/program management, with an emphasis on operational support.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to provide persuasive points of view across different audiences.
  • Familiarity with project/program tracking and monitoring.
  • Excellent written communication regarding program planning, clinical research and scientific-study operations.
  • Experience with MS Office applications.
  • Attention to detail, time management skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills are required; an upbeat and can-do attitude is a must for this role.
  • Must be able to travel to Bethesda, MD, NIH Campus.
  • Must be willing to travel to foreign destinations as needed to assist with planning, setting up and implementing protocols.
