The Associate Director, Global Marketing - HCP Promotion, is responsible for assisting with developing the therapeutic, disease area, and product marketing strategy for our proprietary SMA therapy and the Novartis Gene Therapies' gene replacement therapy technology platform.

Responsibilities
  • Leads elements of a maximizing the global launch of OAV-101 IV and developing the plan for a new IT formulation and indication(s) of OAV-101 in preparation for launch. Ensure alignment with the over-arching OAV-101 brand strategy.
  • Incorporates global learnings from the OAV-101 IV launch into relevant elements of the IT global plan, and, as a result, recommend revisions or updates to relevant strategies and key performance indicators.
  • Contributes to establishing launch year objectives, strategies and forecasts for regions.
  • Lead a process to obtain regional/market input into key elements of the global brand maximization and launch of the IT formulation
  • Ensures revisions to plans for OAV-101 IV based on marketplace learnings. Communicate and update learning and new marketing programs/tactics to affiliates globally.
  • Accountable for global marketing resources, including HCP promotion, tactics to support caregivers and other marketing assets.
  • Oversees agencies involved in Global Marketing promotion and deliverables.
  • Leads multi-disciplinary teams to identify and plan global medical congresses and oversee marketing tactics as needed.
  • Participates in global advisory board planning, global market research and other initiatives to improve understanding of customer needs and the competitive landscape. Play a critical role in development and communication of output.
  • Assists with the development and management annual team objectives and budgets.
  • Represents Global Marketing on cross-functional and regional teams relevant to assigned projects.
  • Provide excellent support to affiliates to help them meet their product goals.
  • Builds strong, open and collaborative working relationships across functions, including Sales, Sales Operations, Training, Market Access, Supply Chain, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Patient Advocacy, Finance, Compliance and Legal.
  • Identifies and executes on new opportunities to improve alignment of strategies and branding elements across markets.
  • Other related job duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area; MBA or graduate level degree desirable with 9 years' experience in pharmaceutical brand management is essential; at least one year of global marketing experience and/or in a small biopharma company desirable.
  • Commercial experience in rare diseases and particularly rare neurological disorders is ideal.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a brand and critical strategic brand initiatives while incorporating perspectives from other functions/regions.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic leadership of a brand, therapeutic area or business unit, with significant cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrate understanding of and sensitivity to marketplace needs and cultural norms in regions and countries.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to use PowerPoint and Excel software; experience with Veeva promotional review a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, with a mix of domestic and international travel.

The level of this position will be based on the final candidate's qualifications.
