Job Details

Fate Therapeutics is seeking an experienced and highly motivated human resources professional responsible for leading culture and talent development activities in support of Fate's business and culture objectives. This position will partner with leaders across the organization to deliver value-added solutions across multiple people areas including talent development, employee engagement, event planning, and community outreach. This is a full-time position reporting to the Executive Director, HR & Operations and is located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA or at our San Francisco Bay location. Primary

Responsibilities:
• Design and implement talent development programs across the organization.
• Partner with Fate management to identify high-performing individuals with leadership potential for customized career development.
• Partner with Fate employees to design and implement solutions that drive passion and performance.
• Influence and build cross-functional employee relations to reinforce Fate's corporate culture through innovative business practices.
• Implement employee activities and events to foster employee relations and enhance employee cohesiveness as the company scales and grows.
• Lead community outreach programs, including developing and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Champion Fate's Vision, Mission and Pathways to Success.

Qualifications:
• B.S. / M.S. degree in a related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience building talent
development initiatives and programs; biotech experience preferred.
• Experience in organizational design, talent management, employee engagement, coaching and leadership development.
• Ability to independently drive programs from concept to completion.
• Proficient in coaching at all levels of the organization.
• Experience in crafting and executing corporate-level communications.
• Ability to think creatively and develop solutions to complex business objectives.
• Demonstrated experience building relationships, coaching teams, and influencing across the
organization.
• Effective role model for Fate's Mission, Values, and Pathways to Success; ability to engage and lead Fate's culture by example.
• Self-motivated, excellent time management, organizational, and proven problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize objectives, and manage resources to achieve established deadlines.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, performance management systems, and learning management systems.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
• 100% on-site work at corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA or San Francisco Bay area
• Evening and weekend work as necessary
