Overview

Searching for a Software Developer to support National Eye Institute, part of the US National Institutes of Health, an agency of the US Department of Health and Human Services. The National Eye Institute (NEI) conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to blinding eye diseases, visual disorders, mechanisms of visual function, preservation of sight, and the special health problems of the blind. Vision research is supported by the NEI through research grants and training awards made to scientists at more than 250 medical centers, hospitals, universities, and other institutions across the country and around the world. The NEI also conducts laboratory and patient research on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland. For more than 50 years, the NEI has been on the front lines of vision research — and continues to support cutting-edge research projects that investigate new ways to prevent, treat, or even reverse vision loss. NEI also works hard to help the public learn about vision problems and how to keep their eyes healthy.
