Senior R&D Specialist (Molecular Profiling & Data Science)

We are looking for a Senior R&D Specialist to join the Regeneron single cell team. Housed in the Molecular Profiling & Data Science group, the single cell team develops cutting-edge technologies and provides single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptome services to all of Regeneron R&D, accelerating basic science and clinical research.You will be responsible for single cell capturing and library construction, Illumina sequencing, spatial transcriptomics slide processing, and technology development. You should be versed with work in a molecular biology laboratory and have demonstrated strong attention to detail. You should have a foundation in scientific knowledge obtained through academic training and experience.
In this role, a typical day might include performing the following:

• Perform single cell partitioning, cDNA amplification, and library preparation.
• Handle and count live cells.
• Apply knowledge obtained by reading scientific material directly related to assigned experiments.
• Run Illumina sequencing equipment.
• Analyze results obtained and determine how to proceed.
• Perform H&E staining and other handling of slides for spatial transcriptomics.
• Write draft experimental protocols or SOPs.
• Communicate with members of Molecular Profiling group effectively.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and excellent time management of daily tasks.
• Contribute to single-cell technology development.

To be considered for the role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree and at least 8 years' experience working in a molecular biology lab. Preferred experience includes: Experience with NGS library prep, Experience with operating Illumina sequencing instruments, Experience in molecular biology techniques such as PCR and Taqman, Experience with 10x Genomics single cell platform, Familiarity with histological techniques. Knowledge of Perl, R and/or Python, plus.
